"This recipe is from the September/October 2009 Weight Watchers magazine. Now you can have your crisp and eat it too. :) This is Weight Watchers version of the all-American favorite. Less fat and calories, but still has all the taste of a great apple crisp. Points Value: 3PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS 6 POINTS ON THE NEW WEIGHT WATCHERS SYSTEM"

 2. I made this yesterday. It was delicious. I always hesitated in making these fruit desserts because they were never sweet enough. But this was perfect. How many Smart Points is in 1 cup?

 1. This is very yummy. I made it for my weight watchers group. Crafty Lady stated it was 3 points (in 2009) but with the new Points Plus system it actually worked out to be 6 points when I plugged in the nutrional data on the calculator. Still, it was enjoyed by all but we just took smaller portions.

 2. I tried this and it was delicious, thank you for the recipe..the rich taste but I am a diabetic so I substituted the regular sugar for Splenda. It tasted the same as if I used regular sugar...I rate this apple crisp 4 stars... Thank You again

Robin..Ohio

 3. Yum! My family loved this. I prefer fruit desserts that aren't so heavy on the fat and sugar, so even though I wasn't looking for a "diet dessert," this was perfect for us. The topping was very nice. Used three pounds of beat up apples from my crisper, none of which were the varieties stated. Made sure to cut them very thinly, and used an 11x7 (2 qt) baking dish which was the perfect size. Used regular butter. Added about 20 minutes to the baking time. I'm not a nutmeg fan and almost left it out but glad I didn't. The combination of spices is very nice, and none of them are overwhelming. Wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

 4. I've been doing Weight Watchers for 2 years and have tried every apple pie/crisp variation I can find, but this one is the best so far! I served this to my whole family and no one knew it was low-calorie. The addition of the ginger is a nice touch too but it can be made without if you don't have any. I will definitely make this again and again. Thanks for sharing this!

Update: I have changed my profile picture in honor of my dear best friend and loyal companion that I lost to cancer on 6/25/11. Maxx was the best dog that anyone could ever hope to have in their life. Until we meet again, sweet boy, you will be forever in my heart and memories. I currently live in the country with two dogs (a 12 pound poodle mix named Suki and a new member to the family, a 7-month old(?) 7.5 pound terrier mix named Angel ). I got Angel from the dog pound a week after I lost my beloved Maxx. Suki and I both needed a new companion to help us cope with our loss. Nothing will ever replace Maxx, but she has helped to uplift Suki's spirit. I am a secretary for a county school board. I love to cook, bake, crochet, paint, sew, read and anything to do with crafts. I was born in Tokyo,Japan. My father was in the Air Force and my moher was Japanese. I love to cook (and eat) a variety of foods from many different nations. I especially like trying out new recipes and experimenting with both old and new recipes. I also love participating in the great Zaar events like the tag games, recipe swaps, and Zaar World Tours. I recently participated in my first RSC contest. I have definitely had a lot of fun since joining Recipezaar. Update - September 20, 2007 I am proud to announce that I have just been blessed with my first grandchild. My son and daughter-in-law have given me a beautiful little granddaughter. Make Reservation Online Create your own visitor map *************************************************** [Reply]
