DIY Valentine’s Day Box Ideas
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so that can only mean one thing…it’s time for to come up with some fun ideas for Valentine boxes. I mean, we love all the decadent Valentine desserts, but making the card box is really the best part of the holiday!
You’re never too old to get creative and and I have just as much fun making these crafts as the kids do. I do have good reason to get carried away because my homemade Valentine Boxes have been featured on Sarasota’s Suncoast View for the last five years (SO much fun…you can see one of the earlier segments below).
That means the pressure is on to come up with creative valentine box ideas every year…but that’s half the fun anyway!
Craft Supplies
To start with, you’ll need supplies. You’ll start with a box…any shoebox, tissue box or cereal box will do. We’ve even used old Amazon boxes. Depending on what you’re making, you may already have the rest of the supplies you’ll need. If not, they can be easily found at any craft store.
I love that these easy projects are not only fun but budget friendly too! Here are a few things you may need:
- Cereal box
- Shoe box
- Craft foam
- Construction paper
- Wrapping paper
- Googly Eyes
- Chenille / Pipe Cleaners
- Markers
- Scissors
- Tape
- Hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
