Valentines Process Art Projects

Though process art, by definition, is indeed all about the process… I do like to combine process art with arts adn crafts. having fun with the process, but then taking that piece of working and using as part of a craft project. Just like this Process Art Heart Wall Hanging– brilliant process art – the kids will LOVE painting with spaghetti, creating their own rolling pin print patterns and combine it all with brightly coloured yarn sticks! So fun.

Little hands will LOVE this fabulous Process Art Wall Hanging for Valentines– this is not for the faint hearted – get “HUGE” creative with hands and feet. This is so much fun.. and the final heart mobile project just gorgeous. I love when kids start adding handprints to these kind of projects too. If you are really brave you may even add some glitter to your creation. Who doesn’t love to get messy and how doesn’t love to go BIG!

Marble Painting Hearts (turn them into Valentine’s Mail Boxes – if you need to contain your “art mess” a bit more, thanmaybe this marble paint process art is more your thing. They are great for making Valentine’s Day Mail Boxes.

Grab yourself some colorful paper, a hot glue gun and take a look at these 3D Paper Sculptures. Another “low mess” but still gorgeous art project is exploring LOVE paper sculptures. Curl and twirl your paper to make these lovely heart sculptures.

Combine Science with Art with this Vingar & Baking SodaBubble Printing Project

Another simple craft / art project is shaving from printing. Start off with some simple paper hearts and then follow the rest of this project creating Mixed Media Collage Hearts– shaving foam marble painting is a childhood must and a fantastic process art project!

Stuffed Hearts– explore print making and using different materials to paint with (can you guess what was used here?) and turn your final art work into adorable “Puffy Heart” decorations. Then use a stapler and some ribbons to make these adorable paper hearts! Ricipients will love this simple decoration. These puffy hearts could be use for treats and candy too… just leave an opening at the top to pop your valentines treats inside!

Start of with a simple heart shape to create this fun process art project for little ones: Toddler Collage Hearts– a nice and simple activity especially for toddlers – use up all your “odds and ends” with these wonderful collage heart cards. So go wild with that (eco friendly) glitter, the washi tape, ribbons and loose thread… and see what your toddler will create. Who knows.. they may even add some googly eyes and turn it into a fun love bug or love monster.. a great open ended and yet simple art process activity!
